I wish there were more stars because five is not enough! I worked with Justin for my best friend’s bachelor party in the Poconos.
Justin crafted a phenomenal menu which worked with our budget and managed to get the groom exactly what he wanted. Fresh seafood, amazing steak, and everything was cooked to perfection.
Justin and his team were also in and out with no fuss, and left absolutely everything sparkling.
Will definitely be using them for future events!
Justin was incredibly professional, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process for our team dinner. He made coordinating the event feel seamless, from menu planning to dietary accommodations to last-minute adjustments. His communication was thoughtful, intentional and it was clear he cared about creating a special experience for our group. The menus he shared we’re impressive, and the presentation and taste of the meals were delicious. We booked a private dinner at home for my wife’s 40th birthday. Chef Justin did a custom menu and even included food for my 5 year old daughter. It was wonderful. He brought all his own cooking supplies and cleaned afterward. Wonderful experience.
I was showered to the nines or I should say tens (!) last weekend to celebrate the my first baby. Block & Rooster did all of the food, and it put London to shame. I’ve done a few high teas and the flavors in the food are always subtle and delicate – Justin made his presentation stunning and delicate and didn’t repress the flavors which were delicious, balanced and stunning. I usually blame my big appetite on the pregnancy but eating 8 finger sandwiches an hour after the party was over is definitely a testimony to his culinary prowess. He’s clearly an artist, and his demeanor was so pleasant and sunny. I’m getting hungry again writing this and emotional picturing how beautiful it was. Wish he had a restaurant so I could go now 🙂 thank you Justin! It was amazing, everyone was so impressed. I’m very lucky to have had such a perfect beautiful and delicious baby shower.
Working with Justin to provide in home chef services was a great experience! He was kind and professional from start to finish, making the entire evening feel seamless and special. Chef Justin and his sous chef arrived timely. They looked professional and were quite friendly. They went right to work and did their thing. Dinner for 8 was prepared and paced perfectly between courses. Each course was explained, eaten and removed. Every course was delicious and I had some very sophisticated guests.
At the end, they cleaned up and left. It was like nothing ever happened. Yes, a private chef experience is not cheap. But we were very happy with our experience and would do it again. Hope this helps!
We had a 90th birthday party catered by Justin and his team. There were 20 of us with differing food allergies and preferences. It was a great success! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the team went above and beyond (we had to deal with bad weather), and everybody commented on what a great experience it was. From beginning to end, Justin was professional, responsive, and accommodating. What a great experience!

You and your team were on time, kind, professional and very well prepared for the event. Being able to enjoy a family/friend event and knowing that everything is taken care of from setup to clean up, especially after a large meal is not only extremely comforting but also relieving as cleaning up the kitchen after a party can be very challenging and time consuming. I recently attended a dinner party catered by Block and Rooster and the food was amazing-the dessert was one of the best I’ve had! Every thing was presented beautifully. They were also very friendly and accommodating. I can’t say enough good things about my experience.
